Education is the process of teaching and learning which is intended to develop the knowledge, skills and characters of an individual (student). In the broadest sense, education is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual.
There are three kinds of education, formal education, non-formal education and informal education. By this broadest definition, education begins from the time we are born until our death.
For example:
1. A child going to school to learn something from the teacher is kind of formal education.
2. When the employee is trained to learn new skills is kind of non-formal education.
3. The education which is given by family in the real life is kind of informal education.
