Hal tersebut dipaparkan, Firdaus Alamsjah, Ph.D, selaku Executive Dean-Binus Business School, dalam acara Media Gathering and Workshop Design Thinking for Media, di Jakarta belum lama ini. Lebih lanjut, Firdaus mengunkapkan, bahwa, ketiga unsur tersebut tertuang dalam kurikulum program Magister Manajemen (MM), salah satu bentuk aplikasinya adalah penerapan system belajar Design Thinking, yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa sejak masa matrikulasi.
Selain kurikulum yang inovatif dan berbasis kebutuhan industry, Binus Business School mempersiapkan mahasiswanya untuk siap pakai dalam industry global, salah satunya dengan adanya program-program yang berstandart Internasional di lingkungan kampus, diantaranya visting lecture dari berbagai universitas di luar negeri serta dual degree program dengan Macquarie University, Sydney Australia.
Keunggulan lainnya, menurut Firdaus Alamsjah, dalam hal internasionalisasi terlihat dari keanggotaan Binus Business School pada EFMD (Europen Foundation of Management Development), sebuah asosiasi sekolah bisnis yang bergengsi di tingkat internasional, asosiasi ini, lanjutnya diresmikan pada tanggal 06 Juni 2011. Sebagai asosiasi jaringan terbesar internasional di bidang pengembangan manajemen, jaringan EFMD mencakup lebih dari 760 anggota kelembagaan dan mencapai lebih dari 16.000 profesional pengembangan manajemen dari akademisi, bisnis, layanan publik dan konsultasi di 80 negara di seluruh dunia.
EFMD memainkan peran sentral dalam membentuk suatu pendekatan internasional untuk pendidikan manajemen dan merupakan forum yang unik untuk informasi, jaringan penelitian, dan perdebatan tentang inovasi dan praktek terbaik dalam pengembangan manajemen. EFMD menyediakan sebuah platform internasional untuk mempertemukan para pemimpin dalam profesi pendidikan manajemen untuk merefleksikan isu-isu utama yang mereka miliki bersama.
Keanggotaan ini, merupakan salah satu langkah untuk menyiapkan Binus Business School menerima akreditasi internasional dalam beberapa tahun ke depan. Binus Business School memerlukan waktu dua tahun untuk menjadi anggota EFMD, salah satu caranya adalah dengan mendapatkan dua sponsor dari sekolah bisnis yang sudah terakreditasi EQUIS. Kedua sponsor yang turut mendukung Binus Business School adalah Australia Business School, Australia (yang sudah terakreditasi AACSB, EQUIS dan AMDA).
“Sponsor memiliki komitmen atau kewajiban untuk membantu (semacam mentor-red) supaya sekolah yang disponsori akhirnya bisa meraih akreditasi EQUIS. Kami sangat bangga menjadi member EFMD,” ujar Firdaus Alamsyah, Ph.D, Executive Binus Business School.
Dengan bergabung dalam EFMD, Binus Business School scara otomatis menjadi bagian dari jaringan internasional terkemuka di bidang pengembangan manajemen. Keberagaman jaringan EFMD memungkinkan Binus Business School untuk bertemu secara regular dengan business school-business school lainnya untuk membahas dan berbagi pengalaman. Keuntungan lainnya adalah, kini Binus Business School memiliki akses ke institusi pendidikan, perusahaan, sektor public dan konsultan di seluruh Eropa.
Sekilas Tentang Binus Business School
Program Magister Manajemen di Binus sudah dimulai sejak tahun 1993 dan kini dikenal dengan sebutan Binus Business School. Terdapat empat program yang ditawarkan, yakni : MM Young Profesional, MM Profesional Program, MM Executive Program, MM Dual Degree.
Program Young professional memiliki tiga peminatan, yaitu : MM Young Profesional in Finance Analysis, MM Young Profesional in Creative Marketing, dan MM Young Profesional in Business Management.
Program MM Profesional Program memiliki tiga peminatan, yaitu MM Profesional Applied Finance, MM Profesional Strategic Marketing, dan MM Profesional in Business Management.
Sedangkan untuk MM Dua Degree juga terdapat tiga peminatan, yaitu : Internasional Business, Marketing, dan Accounting & Finance. (Ratman)
